Tumanako! Children’s art works for a peaceful world

Tumanako! is an one-week-long exhibition commemorating the 72th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as recognising the 30th anniversary of Aotearoa New Zealand as a Nuclear Free country.

Tumanako! is organised by 17-year-old students from Albany Senior High School to inspire action and hope toward a nuclear-free, peaceful world. Children aged 8-15 are encouraged to submit their artworks to be display in the library by July 21st. The theme is ‘hope for a peaceful world’.

Exhibition opening on Sunday 6 August 2017 in AUT. Enjoy music, food and artworks for peace!
